About Art Kessler

I was born and raised in Highland Park and attended Braeside Elementary School and Edgewood Junior High.  After graduating from Highland Park High School, I attended Colgate University, and obtained my MBA from Northwestern University.

I currently reside in the Indian Trail neighborhood with my wife, Wendy Bloom, and two children, a 4th grader at Indian Trail and a 7th grader at Elm Place.  Wendy, an attorney, finds time to serve on the 112 Foundation and is President of the Indian Trail PTO.

As a private equity investor and entrepreneur, I have owned and operated several businesses including most recently an eCommerce restaurant supply business. Following the failure of the last year’s school referendum, I was asked by District 112 to help launch the Reconfiguration 2.0 Community Team. I currently serve on its Steering Committee, Communications Committee, and Reconfiguration Committee.

Because of my involvement in the Reconfiguration 2.0 Community Team, I have learned a tremendous amount about the District’s challenges and can put that knowledge to further use for the good of the district.  Please support me with your vote on April 4th.
